Utilise UserWay Accessibility extension to add additional UI elements to assist people who are visually impaired while using Rosterfy.

UserWay Integration
UserWay is an accessibility widget that has an inbuilt AI which helps proactively correct any variations from the standard. The accessibility widget allows you to be able offers a broad selection of functions that users can mix and match to meet their individual accessibility needs.
Each functions that can be turned on or off or set at an exact interim value. Any settings that are applied will be automatically saved for future site visits.
Note: Please keep in mind that some integrations may require extra support or incur additional costs for implementation with your Rosterfy subscription.
Available Accessibility Functions
Below is the list of the 10 functions and how they will effect the portal accessibility:
Keyboard Navigation:
Provides on-the-fly remediation of non-compliant elements into accessible, keyboard-navigable ones. Critical for those who rely on assistive tech.
Read Page:
The screen reader uses a Text-To-Speech (TTS) engine to translate on-screen information into speech and works in over thirty different languages, native accents and locales.
Increase Text Size:
Cycles on-screen texts through four different levels of text-size increases.
Stop Animations:
Stops animations, blinking and flashing content on the portal.
Tooltips:
Shows alternative text and aria labels for on-screen elements with a simple mouse hover.
Legible Fonts:
Converts stylised fonts into accessible fonts and font weights that are essential for visually impaired and dyslexic users who find nonstandard fonts confusing or difficult to read.
Highlight Links:
Highlights clickable items for easier site usability, navigation and overall accessibility.
Large Cursor:
Increases the standard cursor size by 400% to ensure the pointer always remains in sight.
Text Spacing:
Modify text and line spacing for improved readability for dyslexic and the visually impaired users.
Colour Desaturation:
Desaturates all colours on the page to assist colour blind users.
Setting up the Integration
To enabled the UserWay integration, follow the below instructions:
- Navigate to Settings > Organization Settings.
- Move to the Advanced tab.
- Locate the UserWay options:
- UserWay Accessibility Widget: This will put the accessibility widget on the volunteer portal.
- UserWay Admin Accessibility Widget: This will put the accessibility widget on the admin console.
- Toggle the option to Yes to turn it on.
NOTE: If you are unable to locate the Advanced tab or the UserWay Accessibility Widget permissions, ensure you are logged in as a Full Admin.
If you do not have access to these permissions, please contact your Rosterfy Client Success Manager for assistance.
Accessibility Mode for Registration Forms
Within a Registration Form > Form Settings, there is an option to enable Accessibility Mode.
When enabled, this will automatically add a field to the Registration Form, allowing the user to identify as visually impaired.
