      Microsoft Dynamics 365 Integration

      The Rosterfy + Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration allows you to send data from Rosterfy to Microsoft Dynamics 365.

      Overview

      The Rosterfy + Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration allows you to send data from Rosterfy to Microsoft Dynamics 365, such as contact information.

      Each time a user registers or is updated in Rosterfy, that information is pushed into your Microsoft Dynamics 365 account.

       

      Note: Please keep in mind that some integrations may require extra support or incur additional costs for implementation with your Rosterfy subscription.

       

      Setting up the Integration

      To setup the integration, follow these simple steps:

      1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations in Rosterfy.
      2. Search for Dynamics and select Enable.
      3. Input your Microsoft Dynamics URL (e.g. https://organisationname.crm11.dynamics.com).
      4. A popup will appear, login using your Microsoft credentials, then select authorise.
      5. After login, you will be able to configure the linked fields between Rosterfy and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

       

      Syncing Contact Fields from Rosterfy

      Rosterfy out of the box will automatically sync the following fields with Microsoft Dynamics 365. Ordinarily, Rosterfy Users will be mapped to Dynamics Contacts, with the following fields automatically:

      • First Name

      • Last Name

      • Email

      • Phone Number

      • Date of Birth

      You can choose which fields are sent to Microsoft Dynamics 365 from a simple and easy to use drop-down menu in Rosterfy.

       

      Syncing Custom Fields from Rosterfy

      To sync custom fields from Rosterfy to Microsoft Dynamics 365, it is imperative that the code of the field in both platforms must match or the syncing of the data will fail. Due to the current behaviour of custom attributes within Rosterfy (columns begin with ‘custom_’) additional Rosterfy assistance may be required to hard code changes to this field setup.

      If you require further fields to be synced to Mircosoft Dynamics 365, it is possible to utilise the additional JSON Payload field in the integration setup. 

      Note: We recommend you are proficient in writing JSON to implement these modules. 

       

      What are the Limitations?

      • Administrators who implement this integration need to be Microsoft Dynamic System Admins at a minimum.

      • This integration is one way.
      • Two way integration is possible using the Rosterfy API + Microsoft Dynamics 365 to build an integration back to Rosterfy, however this is not currently supported by Rosterfy.
