Following an extensive search, Rosterfy has been selected as the volunteer management solution by the Organising Committee for the 2022 UCI Road World Championships in Wollongong, New South Wales.
The UCI Road World Championships are the largest annual cycling event conducted by the world governing body for cycling, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The Championships include road races, individual time trials, a team time trial-mixed relay, cultural events and other community activities. With more than 1,000 international cyclists from 70+ nations it is one of the top five sporting events in the world and is watched by more than 300 million viewers globally.
This is Rosterfy’s fourth UCI event, where Rosterfy will be applying relevant experience from the UCI Road World Championships in Innsbruck (Austria), Yorkshire (Great Britain) and Flanders (Belgium) to ensure a seamless experience for the 1,000 volunteers required to power this world class event.
Wollongong 2022 CEO Stu Taggart said this was an exciting and enabling partnership for the event.
“Major events come to life through the volunteers who dedicate their time to creating an excellent event experience for all stakeholders, so we can’t wait to begin our recruitment campaign with the expert support of Rosterfy,” Mr Taggart said.
Wollongong 2022 Workforce Manager Kate Searle said: “Having worked with the team at Rosterfy previously and given their strong track record with UCI events, we are really excited to have Rosterfy onboard as our volunteer management solution.”
“As the first touch point for our volunteers, Rosterfy’s impressive solution will set the standard for our volunteer program. While it’s important that Rosterfy helps streamline administrative operations, our number one priority is a great experience for our volunteers and we’re confident that with Rosterfy, their experience will be one to remember.”
Rosterfy’s automations technology will be pivotal to ensuring a personal, engaging and professional experience for volunteers both in the lead up and throughout the eight-day event period, .
Shannan Gove, Co Founder of Rosterfy said, “Global events of this magnitude require large numbers of volunteers, which in the past meant spreadsheets, repeated manual processes and large overheads in staffing resources. Rosterfy’s unique automations functionality eliminates the need for manual processes, allowing administrators like Kate to deliver a world class program all on her own without compromising the quality of the program.”
“With a Rosterfy in place, Wollongong 2022 will have the ability to recruit, screen, schedule, train and communicate with their volunteers all via the one system, providing a more personalised experience for volunteers and a more efficient automated approach for administrators.” Shannan continued.
The 2022 UCI Road World Championships will take place between 18-25 September. Volunteer registrations are now open. To apply to be a volunteer, please visit their website.
