London Marathon Events signs six year deal with Rosterfy

London Marathon Events Ltd (LME) has appointed Rosterfy to support and engage its teams of volunteers for the next six years.


London Marathon Events Ltd (LME) has appointed Rosterfy, the world’s premier event workforce management solution platform, to support and engage its teams of volunteers for the next six years.

Starting in early 2019, Rosterfy will be used for all events organised by LME and LSCP: The Vitality Big Half, the Virgin Money London Marathon, the Vitality Westminster Mile, the Vitality London 10,000, the Standard Chartered Great City Race, Prudential RideLondon and Swim Serpentine.

The Virgin Money London Marathon is the world’s greatest marathon. As the most popular marathon on the planet with 414,168 people entering the ballot for the 2019 race, LME recruits more than 4,000 volunteers for that event alone each year.

LME will utilise the many time saving elements of Rosterfy, using the system for the recruitment, screening and streamlined matching of volunteers to the roles they are best suited to and the support required to ensure everyone involved in events is compliant and empowered to do their best on event day.

The Rosterfy portal, currently available online and soon to be launched as a mobile application, will create a single point of reference for the volunteers to receive all information about upcoming opportunities with London Marathon Events. This portal will also help keep volunteers engaged with the latest event news and policies, allowing London Marathon Events to develop and grow an online community for volunteers.

To date, the process of managing this large number of volunteers has been a labour-intensive task for LME, using traditional spreadsheets and outdated technology. The new partnership with Rosterfy will result in a significant reduction in the time spent on administrative tasks, giving LME staff more time to work strategically and create a world class and sustainable volunteer programme.
