VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT

Bailador invests an additional $3M in Rosterfy

Rosterfy, leaders in mass volunteer and workforce management technology, has secured additional investment from Bailador Technology Investment Limited.

ASX-listed venture capital fund Bailador Technology Investments Limited (ASX:BTI) has increased its stake in volunteer management software platform Rosterfy, investing an additional $3 million.

Global leaders in volunteer management and engagement, Rosterfy provides non profits, sporting federations, cities, hospitals and major events with the tools they need to streamline operations and better engage their volunteers with over 100 million volunteer hours already powered through the system.

In the 18 months since Bailador backed Rosterfy with $9.8 million in April last year, the platform has doubled its users to three million and has grown the number of countries they operate in by 75% to 35. Earlier this month Rosterfy also released their Volunteer App, which has already powered one million volunteer hours globally. This latest investment comes as privately held shares in Rosterfy have surged by 14%, reflecting the company’s impressive growth and increasing market presence.

“We’ve enjoyed our partnership with Bailador over the last 18 months since their initial investment, and we’re thrilled that they are continuing to support our future growth ambitions,” said CEO Bennett Merriman, co-founder of Rosterfy alongside Shannan Gove and Chris Grant.

The Rosterfy co-founders were recently recognised in the Financial Review BOSS Most Innovative Companies list for 2024 by The Australian Financial Review including securing a top 10 position in the technology category. They are also finalists for the 2024 Melbourne Young Entrepreneur Awards presented by Business News Australia, taking place on October 17. The platform originated as a solution for the founders' event staffing company, Spark Event Group, but quickly evolved to meet the broader needs of various organisations.

Rosterfy's clientele now spans nonprofits, government agencies, and sporting federations, with notable partnerships including the British Heart Foundation, Lifeline Australia, OzHarvest, and SXSW.

A key development in Rosterfy’s growth has been the launch of the Rosterfy Volunteer App, designed to engage a younger demographic in volunteering—traditionally dominated by individuals aged 55 and older.

“Rosterfy is the most comprehensive and customisable volunteer management solution on the market, utilised by the world’s largest volunteer programs,” stated co-founder Shannan Gove. “Our user-friendly, secure, and engaging platform allows organisations globally to invest in their volunteers, leading to high recruitment, engagement, and retention rates.”

Bailador co founder and managing partner David Kirk said, “Rosterfy continues to perform well, growing rapidly and signing new clients around the world. This additional funding will help the company expand its global go-to-market teams and accelerate its product roadmap.”
